How You’ll Fly
You'll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:
- Collaborating with the VP, QTC Account Management and Sales, to develop the region sales strategy and clearly communicate the vision to motivate, inspire, and lead the regional QTAL team and field matrix.
- Driving accountability to performance targets and establish a culture of high performance, resilience, and collaboration in alignment with bluebird bio values.
- Developing and implementing strategic and measurable regional business plans to ensure the achievement of account objectives and goals (patient starts, patient pull through, and QTC activation).
- Conducting regular field visits and business reviews with QTALs to provide regular coaching, including written and verbal feedback, to address and support both the business development and career development needs of the regional team.
- Identifying overarching barriers that limit patient access and growth of our products and provide clear guidance and direction to the QTAL team to adequately address them.
- Monitoring and assessing sales performance metrics, proactively addressing gaps or challenges in revenue, market share, and sales force effectiveness.
- Ensuring strong collaboration and execution between cross-functional partners including marketing, market access, patient supply, patient educators, and sales operations
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining expertise on gene therapy, Hemoglobinopathies (including transfusion-dependent thalassemia (TDT) and sickle cell disease (SCD) and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSTC) and Cerebral Adrenoleukodystrophy (CALD)
- Bachelor’s degree (required), Advanced degree (preferred), and 10+ years of experience in the healthcare industry.
- Experience managing high-performing teams.
- Experience in specialty therapeutic areas such as Hematology, CAR T, or Cell and Gene Therapy preferred.
- Knowledge of payer coverage for specialty products, distribution, and reimbursement environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively collaborate with various parts of the internal organization and field facing teams.
- Ability to travel across the US on a regular basis. Estimates of >50%.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a total compensation and rewards package that ranks among the best in our industry. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $265,000-$285,000. Your base pay will be determined based on several factors including market data, demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and travel requirements. Our overall package also includes eligibility for stock, incentive bonuses, and benefit programs, a flexible time off program, as well as paid holidays, bluebird days, and a holiday shutdown in December.
