Title: Product Data Administrator

Location: Open to Remote

Duration of assignment: 6 months ( with possibility of extension)

Job Description

Client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as an eCommerce Product Administrator. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining product records, ensuring all data is accurate and complete. Your efforts will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers through efficient management of product information.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain product records with careful attention to detail. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and currency of all product data, SEO metadata, images, related products, and product categorizations. Perform routine audits on product records and apply updates as necessary. Handle inquiries or issues concerning product setup and display. Engage in testing and problem-resolution activities. Conduct user acceptance and post-production cutover testing in support of software releases and store migration (may require occasional work outside regular business hours). Generate coupon codes and/or promotion codes upon request. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, editorial/operations, customer support, or fulfillment teams to align product information with business objectives (e.g. SEO, PPC).

Digital Library and Third-Party Sites Gain proficiency in the Client Digital Library eBook load to provide backup support as needed. Gain proficiency in Third-Party vendors’ eBook and print load to provide backup support as needed.

Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience
  • 0-2 years of related experience required
  • Previous experience in eCommerce, product management, or a similar role
  • Skilled in the use of eCommerce platform(s) for product management; Adobe eCommerce – Magento is preferred; OverDrive Digital Library, Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Seller Central, and Shopify are a plus.
  • Microsoft Excel skills providing the ability to manage large datasets efficiently, including the use of advanced formulas, functions, and macros (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) is required.
  • Basic proficiency in other Microsoft products such as Word and Teams.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and practices.
  • Basic understanding of hypertext markup language (HTML) and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a remote team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal partners, and on very rare occasions, external partners, when responding to inquiries, requesting information, or providing details for issue analysis.
