Position Summary
We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Designer with knowledge in piping design, isometric drafting, and data maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate who is looking to grow and develop their professional career.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with AutoVAD, Inverntor & Solidworks
- Assist with the preparation of drawings and schematics
- Coordinate with other consulting disciplines to ensure drawing integrity and completeness
- Work with project team to ensure on-time project completion
- Strive to ensure quality and timely delivery of finished products to clients
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field such as Drafting and AutoCAD Fundamentals, Engineering Design Technology, Industrial Drafting and Design, Computer-Aided Design and Drafting
- Up to 2 years of relevant work experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
- Design experience in oil & gas, chemical, agriculture, green energy, & conventional power industries is an asset
- Interested in multidisciplinary work, & understand the needs/requirements of other engineering disciplines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, personable, and committed to producing high-quality work
- Sound and independent judgment and reasoning
