Senior Procurement Officer

Band 5 £30,229 to £37,664 per annumPlus £1,279 Distant Islands Allowance per annum37 Hours per WeekPermanent PostWe are pleased to offer an exciting vacancy in the Procurement team. The Senior Procurement Officer is one of the key buyers for the organisation and will carry out a variety of competitive procurements and assist with capital purchasing. You will also have supervisory responsibility for the internal supply chain and central stores, Act as senior systems administrator for electronic purchasing systems and assist with the administration of the NHS Western Isles vehicle fleet.

This is a varied and challenging role and you will need to have extensive experience in purchasing, eProcurement systems and stock management. You should have some experience managing competitive tenders. You should be educated to degree level and possession of CIPS level 4 or above is an advantage.

The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
