We’re looking for a senior motion designer who has experience working for brands to create social media and digital content. They will have strong design, motion design and editing skills. They will be able to work collaboratively with creatives, videographers, producers and have extremely high standards for their craft and output.

This role means becoming a central figure in a growing team, responsible to deliver socially innovative campaigns and always on social editorial content. They must know the social media landscape well and be up to date on visual trends and techniques used to produce stand out content.

Working on automotive brands will be a bonus but not essential. As is being able to use camera equipment to shoot and capture video themselves, would also be a bonus that will be utilised within the team and agency.

Design & Motion Design

You’ll take briefs on a variety of formats for digital and social, such as short form videos as well as static assets. You’ll work through all stages of pre-production, production and post production to ensure the final product is creatively on brief and in the client brand world.

Responsibilities Include

  • Creating content that is on brief and in brand world
  • Creating ‘Social First’ motion design and editing solutions for campaign and editorial content
  • Becoming a brand guardian while pushing the boundaries of digital and social content
  • Working with Creatives, Writers and Social Media Managers to build on ideas and propose a clear approach to production
  • Working with already existing video footage & stills to create exciting social-first content
  • Interpreting briefs and understanding exactly what the client requirements are
  • Responding to client feedback
  • Research and sourcing footage, music and SFX to edit and deliver social-first content
  • Giving estimated timescales on your ability to show edits for creative review and delivery
Skills And Experience
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Strong design and motion graphics skills
  • Understanding of brand design systems, design guidelines and best practices
  • Social first thinker who knows the visual language and editing style of social media platforms
  • Constantly stays up to date on social trends and visual techniques for creating stand out social and digital content
  • Ability to creatively solve problems that arise in all stages of the process from development, pre-production, production and post-production
  • An in-depth knowledge of the production and post-production process
  • Strong people skills - must be personable and comfortable when facing clients. Must also be able work as part of a team
  • Camera operating skills are a bonus – ability to work with a range of professional equipment including cameras, lenses, lighting and shooting on iPhone
  • Advanced knowledge of Premiere Pro, Encoder
  • Knowledge of After Effects for animating stills or creating basic motion graphics
  • Strong knowledge of industry codecs (such as h264, ProRes, DNxHD etc.)
  • Able to shoot and edit on iPhone is a bonus
