A Human Resources Generalist ensures that the flow of activity in the Human Resources Office runs smoothly and issues are resolved in a timely manner. Assists in recruiting and selecting competent personnel by verifying current licensure on professionals and performing reference checks on all viable candidates and maintains accurate personnel, payroll and competency records of current employees. Maintains efficiency in all aspects of the job and the day to day activities.

  • Maintains confidential, individual personnel files on each employee.
  • Assists department leaders in recruiting and selecting competent personnel according to required processes.
  • Ensures that all new employees have completed the necessary pre/post-employment process.
  • Ensures general orientation is conducted on all new employees the first day of employment.
  • Provides appropriate access and timely scheduling of new employee six-month appraisals.
  • Ensures the performance management process is readied for leadership to conduct timely annual evaluations for all eligible employees.
  • Administers benefit programs to eligible employees within specified time frames.
  • Enhances efforts to maintain and increase employee morale and engagement.
  • Encourages all employees to take advantage of continuing education/development opportunities.
  • Ensures that all employees that are offboarded complete the necessary termination papers and conducts the exit interview.
  • Reviews complaints and grievances, makes necessary oral and/or written reports to Administrator.

Required

  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience
  • Bachelors Degree in healthcare or related field
Preferred
  • Bachelors in Human Resources or related field
  • 2+ years experience in a healthcare setting

This position is directly involved with patient care for infant, toddler, preschool, school age, adolescent and young adult (up to age 21) patients. The PA-C provides pediatric orthopedic care according to WAC246-918-140. The PA-C consults with the supervising physician in accordance with acceptedstandards of practice, hospital bylaws, and Washington laws, regarding any procedure, diagnostic issue, or complex patient presentation that the PA-Cdetermines exceeds his / her level of competence. The PA-C may prescribe, order, administer and dispense legend drugs including schedule II-V drugswith appropriate Washington licensure and prescriptive authority.

The pay range for this position is $100,659.74-143,799.63/annually. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity.

  • Orders and interprets appropriate laboratory, radiographic, and diagnostics tests.

  • Wound care
  • Post-operative care
  • Documents patient care
  • Communicates with patient and family regarding patient diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
  • Assesses and provides direct care to inpatients and requested by medical staff.
  • Provides direct patient care in selected Outpatient Clinics and Inpatient Department as assigned by the Chief of Staff,under the direction of Shriners Hospital physicians.
  • Respects patient confidentially and rights.
  • Analyzes data from history and physical exams to identify potential, possible, or active problems.
  • Collaborates with other health team members demonstrating the commitment to family centered care.
  • Participates in patient care rounds as needed as an additional resource for medical staff.
  • Communicates patient care issues with Chief of Staff or the appropriate attending physician for that patient.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary team conference as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with nurses on nursing issues pertaining to patient care.
  • Preopholding/OR
  • Performs history/physical and completes pre-surgical forms.
  • Obtains informed consent for operative procedures.
  • May assist attending physician with procedures, etc.
  • Participates in Outreach Clinics as assigned.
Minimum
  • State PA Licensure
  • National Commussion Certification of Physician Assistants
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration
Preferred
  • Masters Degree
  • 1+ Year of Physicians Assistant, Pediatric Ortho experience
