Pura Industries, LLC is seeking an initiative-taking Senior Director of FP&A to make impactful contributions to the legal cannabis markets of New York and New Jersey. The successful candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, and thrive in a dynamic, cross functional early-stage environment.

The Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will partner with the CFO to lead Pura’s financial strategy and drive operational effectiveness in a high-growth environment. This role will play a pivotal role in adding value and insight to the Pura team by providing rigorous financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic decision support.

The Senior Director of FP&A will be responsible for overseeing the FP&A function while establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key business leaders, developing financial models, and enhancing operational effectiveness through strategic planning and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will be a highly experienced strategic finance leader with demonstrated experience in cross-functional partnership, a wide range of financial modeling skills to support planning and analysis in a dynamic industry and can structure and solve complex problems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to generate an annual budget and quarterly forecasts that ensure that the Company’s operational focus and internal investment support achievement of key corporate priorities in a capital-efficient manner.
  • Drive strategic planning as part of the annual long-range plan (LRP) exercise to enable investment decisions across portfolio of internal programs and opportunities.
  • Partner throughout the organization to support data-driven programs and corporate decisions.
  • Develop long term, risk adjusted NPV valuation models to support decision-making, financial planning, portfolio prioritization and Investor Relations.
  • Analyze financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis in partnership with functional leadership and accounting team to provide actionable insights on Pura’s ongoing business.
  • Provide day-to-day Finance leadership and business partnership to the functional leadership including trade-off analysis to drive efficient use of Company resources.
  • Effectively communicate financial results, forecasts and strategic analysis to executive management team and Board of Directors.
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate planning tools to meet the needs of a growing organization.
  • Collaborate and support Corporate Development activities with financial analyses for market assessment; analysis to inform and support deal structuring and negotiations.
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analyses to support decision-making for various company programs and initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

o  Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or other relevant field; CFA, MBA, or advanced degree desired.

o  7 to 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and distribution environment. Investment banking or consulting background a plus.

o  Exceptional critical thinking skills, a highly analytical and inquisitive work style coupled with a keen attention to detail -- while retaining the ability to see the big picture.

o  Exceptional abstract modeling skills required.

o  Understanding of public company capital markets.

o  Ability to evaluate and implement tools and systems to support the function.

o  Must be a hands-on initiative-taker.

o  Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively work across the organization.

o  Ability to work independently and to multi-task large projects or compounds, ability to change pace and tasks as needed, and to work in a fast-paced environment.

o  Ability to lead and/or be a proven leader in a line function responsibility, as well as having an ability to influence in a matrix global environment.
