Salaried General Practitioner

Maryfield Medical Centre

Dundee

40 hours per week (or part-time hours can be negotiated)

£69,993 - £104,469 per annum, pro rata

We are seeking a General Practitioner to join our team at Maryfield Medical Centre.

Our practice is a modern, purpose-built facility with bright, spacious consulting rooms in the Mayfield district of Dundee. Dundee itself is a vibrant city with two universities, good schools and affordable housing.

Maryfield Medical Centre is a 2C (Health Board-run) practice with all staff being directly employed by NHS Tayside. This is an attractive post for GPs seeking to provide excellent clinical care without the additional responsibilities attached to a partnership.

NHS Tayside offer favourable terms and conditions including a defined work load (job plan), competitive salary, generous annual leave and study leave packages and weekly protected CPD.

The current team of experienced GPs offer a friendly supportive working environment to a Doctor at any stage in their career. The GPs have invested in building a stable medical team over the last 2 years and daily huddles support good communication amongst the team.

The practice is well supported by experienced administration and nursing teams.

We work from a purpose-built facility with bright, spacious consulting rooms. On-site Community Nursing Team and Health Visitors enables a true multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

The post will ideally suit trained primary care physicians who are attracted to work in an environment of development with other like minded professionals and whose focus is on the delivery of high quality clinical care. The Doctors in the team will be expected to contribute to service and strategic improvement with colleagues inside the practice and with associated locality services. Contracted working hours can be negotiated.
