Job DescriptionGENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: Processing payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and pay. This role handles all aspects of the payment process, from tracking employees’ time through issuing paychecks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

Weekly processing of multiple payrolls to include reviewing of batches for accuracy/posting batches to payroll and processing in payroll/direct deposit files/sending e-mail to Treasury to upload

Monthly processing of cell phone, vehicle and parking stipends – sending e-mail to department managers for approval

Entering time for office / salaried employees.

Processing new child support/garnishment orders – worksheets to A/P for payment

Field questions via e-mail/phone/provide support to employees/other departments

Activate pay rate changes in GP (employee maintenance card, any unposted timesheets and if necessary creating pay differential timesheet for any backpay owed)

Reviewing/coding time owed

Activating pre-notes

Entering other deductions – supplies, advances

Greenshades – creating batches for employees who opted in to receive mailed direct deposit slip

Create arrears for employees

Processing correction batches – reviewing/posting and/or sending to Dynamics support

Assists Payroll Lead in special projects/audits

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 1 year of experience
