Seeking an experienced Draftsperson for this varied role working with our Technical and Operations teams on numerous projects

About The Role

Are you a skilled Mechanical Draftsperson with experience in AutoCAD and Inventor? Do you have a passion for creating accurate and detailed site layouts and industrial equipment designs? If so, we want you to join our team at Supagas.

You will be responsible for producing 2D & 3D CAD designs including site layouts, piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), 3D modelling of existing industrial equipment etc.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create engineering drawings including but not limited to architectural plans, site General Arrangements (GA`s), & P&ID`s.
• Produce 2D & 3D drawings to enable manufacture of industrial equipment from existing samples.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to create detailed mechanical drawings and designs using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Develop site layouts and equipment drawings for industrial projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and make revisions based on feedback.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of industry standards and best practices.
• Work closely with the production and project team to ensure the efficient manufacturing of equipment.
• Perform quality checks on drawings and designs to ensure they meet our high standards.
• Although this role is primarily office-based, there may be a requirement to travel occasionally to various sites.

Technical Knowledge & Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years in the Industrial design/drafting profession.
• Strong working application of main functions of Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Mechanical drafting experience in a professional environment.
• Previous industry and gas experience is an advantage.
