Principal Project Officer – Inclusion and Diversity

We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record of leading programs of workplace cultural change, inclusion and diversity. As the Principal Project Officer - Inclusion and Diversity, you will lead the implementation of system-wide workplace cultural change programs including initiatives designed to build a workplace culture of inclusion, for all employees. You will Influence, educate and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to successfully implement a workforce strategy and range of initiatives to increase the opportunities, inclusion and support for existing and potential employees working across the department.

About The Department

Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the implementation of a workforce strategy which seeks to address system, process and cultural barriers to workforce inclusion.
  • Develop a co-design process to understand the barriers to employment and career pathways informed by employee insights from the Working for Queensland and School Opinion Survey, and focus groups.
  • Develop and implement communication material to support implementation of the workforce strategy or framework to facilitate workplace cultural change.
  • Lead the reporting and implementation of actions and recommendations from mandatory Whole of Government specific purpose plans.
  • Report on progress to the Public Sector Commission and respond to national strategies and Leadership Board workforce targets.
  • Provide strategic and operational advice on the department's workforce strategy initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and holistic innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.
