Sales and Education Executive - London & Ireland

Position Summary

The Kendo Brands Sales and Education Executive is a field-based role responsible for driving retail Sales through the execution of education programs that bring brand DNA, storytelling, and product passion for Kendo Brands to life at store level across all retail distribution.

As a Brand Ambassador and inspirational coach, the Sales and Education Executive will be instrumental in developing and growing the Kendo business through a practical and “hands-on” approach. Delivering our brands unique point of difference and driving KPI’s by exceptional wealth of product knowledge, artistry skills, skincare techniques, service standards and selling behaviors in store and supporting events. An exciting multi-faceted role, as a brand and product expert they will be able to move seamlessly between coaching and motivating our brand dedicated retail artists; inspiring and exciting retailer employed consultants and educating and empowering customers at point of sale.

The goal is to extend brand awareness and sales conversion through engagement and storytelling and enhancing Retail Artists skills, performance, productivity, and quality of work, bringing the unique DNA of Kendo to life in our market, within all locations and retailers. To help identify opportunities to further promote the success of their brands through supporting events and product launches. Combining commerciality with creativity, they take responsibility for and pride in the success of their counters and the development of the teams they work with. No two days are ever the same, and the role will require travel within the UK to spread your wisdom, enthusiasm, and passion for our brands.

Position Responsibilities

Driving Sales:

  • Responsible for driving sales in their area, building relationships with counter and store management, optimizing in-store merchandising, and brand presentation.
  • Understand opportunities within their area and strategize with Regional Manager to develop business plans for stores to increase sales, planning special events to support brand marketing calendar as needed.
  • Drive and exceed territory sales goals by leading by example and role modeling selling behaviors, techniques, and training in-store, through coaching and development.
Training, Artistry & Product Expertise
  • In collaboration with the Regional Sales and Education manager Hire, onboard, and manage retail teams to drive sales to support KENDO brand portfolio and products. Ensuring all new starters successfully complete their induction programme ahead of their 3-month probationary period.
  • Work with Business/Counter Managers to develop a programme of ongoing events to support brand marketing calendar, drive sales and track retail sales against goal measures.
  • Fully understand the retailer and KENDO launch and activation calendar to efficiently drive business.
  • Partner with SEE’s and RM to conduct quarterly Counter Manager Meetings to maximize brand awareness and product exposure in-stores.
  • Train retail teams on product knowledge, advanced artistry skills and selling behaviors, functioning as a resource and leader, providing product expertise – Face to face & virtually – 1 on 1 and to groups.
  • An exceptional communicator they will be responsible for delivering inspirational in store training sessions that motivate, inspire, and enhance artist’s skill base.
  • Ability to create video content that is engaging, educational and Fun.

  • Supporting growth in core brand franchises and new launches across all stores combining brand vision, artistry skills and delivering key product information.
  • Deliver best in class customer experience through effective service and selling techniques. Ensuring our Retail Artists deliver excellence in everything they do.
Team Development
  • Coach and develop direct reports to generate sales through training and sales support in-store
  • Developing talent and capabilities of retail teams through 1-1 engagement and regular coaching sessions
  • Maximize team selling effectiveness through consistent in-market visits, leading by example and consistent recognition and feedback
  • Collaborate with Area peers to develop best practices and drive team performance
  • Implement PCR annual development programme with retail teams and agree scoring for review with Regional Manager
Store Selling Events
  • Drive brand KPI’s and support sales goal achievement for store events
  • Supporting in store and retailer led events programme where appropriate to ensure brand standards and guidelines are consistently met.
  • Working with the field sales team to conceptualise seasonal events and masterclasses within each store.
Internal
  • Work within Company travel and expense budgets, following established guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
  • Maintain excellent communication with field sales partners, store management and training department through the use of Paperflite digital learning, coaching reports and regular updates on all training, event activity and development opportunities at store level.
Profile
  • Min 1 year experience working in the field as an Area manager or Sales and Education executive.
  • Management of large teams and high-profile flagship accounts would be an advantage.
  • Experience with successfully managing HR matters
  • Experience in delivering coaching sessions at counter level.
  • A confident and engaging communicator and presenter – Face to face & Virtually
  • A high level of artistry attainment
  • Must have experience within the retail beauty sector
  • Passionate and inspirational
  • This role is a field-based role and will require flexibility and the ability to travel with overnight stays.
  • High-level attention to detail and accuracy in execution of work and tasks
  • Basic computer skills— in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • A good understanding and awareness of all social media platforms
  • The Ability to create/edit video content would be an advantage.
