An exciting opportunity exists within our Information Technology Services (ITS) team for a highly motivated Director of Information Technology. As IT Director of our Ministerial Services IT team, you will lead a future focused team in the delivery of contemporary information and communications technology (ICT) services to Ministerial Offices and the Office of the Leader of the Opposition.

About Us

At the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC), our primary responsibility is to provide support and guidance to the Premier and Cabinet to effectively deliver on the government's priorities, commitments, decisions, and objectives for the betterment of the community.

The ITS team comprises 34 staff and is a part of People and Services, within the Governance and Engagement Division. We provide IT support to the Department and to Ministerial Offices and the Office of the Leader of the Opposition and Premier, prioritising excellence in service provision and high performance.

Your Opportunity

The IT Director, Ministerial Services has overall responsibility for delivery of contemporary information and communications technology (ICT) services and is accountable for the provision of professional, integrated ICT services to key clients.

You

About you:

  • have a proven track record of successful leadership in supervising and managing employees including project management, strategic planning, and execution and development of policy procedures and standards.
  • possess significant experience in the IT field and the relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Services, ICT, Information technology or a related discipline.
  • demonstrate effective and collaborative leadership style to manage organisational and technological change.
  • demonstrate experience in developing future capability in information technology and related fields.
  • demonstrate experience leading an IT team within a complex environment.
