Head of Procurement

Areti are working with a is a leading retail company who are along the journey of a M/A journey and are looking to speak with a dynamic and experienced Head of Procurement to join our team on a long-term contract basis.

This will be an outside IR35 Position

Weekly travel to London (Hybrid)

Must have worked within the M/A World.

Position Overview:

As the Head of Procurement, you will play a crucial role in driving the contractual split of all business contracts, with a primary focus on IT contracts. You will work closely with business stakeholders, procurement leaders, and legal teams to ensure that key contracts are renegotiated ahead of year-end, optimizing terms and maximizing value for the company. Additionally, experience within a merger and acquisition environment will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies and processes to optimize cost savings and efficiency, with a specific focus on IT procurement.

Lead negotiations for key contracts, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and priorities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality goods and services.

Monitor and analyse market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.

Provide guidance and support to procurement team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Oversee the contract management process, including contract drafting, review, and execution.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Utilize experience in merger and acquisition environments to navigate procurement challenges and opportunities effectively.
