Executive Director
As Executive Director, Policy and Performance, you will lead and manage the Policy and Performance function within the QPS.
As a member of the QPS Executive Leadership Team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation and will be responsible for leading, overseeing and implementing a significant volume of legislation, strategic policy, planning and reporting related material on behalf of the QPS as a high-profile public sector agency within the health, justice and social portfolios areas, to support the QPS strategic objectives and vision.

- Provide executive leadership and direction in the development of strategic policy and legislative programs of work to support the delivery of government priorities and to deliver strong community safety outcomes for Queensland.
- Lead and drive a collaborative inter-agency and cross-sector approach to policy development:
- understanding system-wide impacts; and
- building consensus, initiatives and solutions with key partners and stakeholders, in order to realise strong community safety outcomes for Queensland.
- Provide strong and system-wide policy thought leadership, with a clear futurefocus, to the organisation's senior leadership.
- Facilitate organisational capability uplift in evidence-based policy development, leading and shaping new ideas and facilitating innovation to meet anticipated challenges and realise future opportunities.
- Provide expert and authoritative strategic advice to the Minister, Commissioner and senior leaders of QPS.
- Ensure excellence in policy evaluation, assessing success with a systems-wide perspective.
- Lead a financially sustainable, high performance, innovative workforce delivering key outcomes effectively and efficiently within the agreed budget allocation.
- Develop and maintain strong and effective strategic partnerships within QPS and across government and manage complex negotiations.
- Represent the QPS in a range of internal and external forums, meetings and negotiations that impact on QPS and whole-of-government priorities and initiatives.
