Statement Of Expectation For The Role

To manage L&D business operations effectively by ensuring effective business delivery. To develop and lead the business function of the department, liaising closely with Finance and Human Resources and internal and external partners, and leading Procurement, Administration and other resource management. To lead on priority areas including the development of an Income Generation Strategy and Training Needs Analysis to inform the annual Force Strategic Training Plan.

Ensuring full and effective use of resources in line with City of London Police strategy. In conjunction with finance, to construct and manage a viable budget to achieve stated force training aims (2018 budgetary responsibility in the region of £1m). Post holder will work in conjunction with the Chief Inspector L&D and report to Superintendent Professionalism and Trust . Management responsibility for Administration Team within L&D and performance output.

Description Of Department

Working with the learning and development department responsible for all mandated training for the City of London Police.

The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.

This role is open to all Police Staff / external candidates who meet the essential criteria of the person spec, regardless of current grade.
