J.T. Foster High School, located in Nanton, Alberta, is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta!

We are seeking a probationary full-time teacher for junior high English Language Arts, Social Studies, and CTS Options. The ability to teach Woodworking, Foods, and/or additional CTS Shop courses is an asset, however, we welcome all applicants who are enthusiastic about teaching humanities. The contract will commence on August 26th, 2024.

We are seeking a teacher who has;

Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula;

A strong understanding of outcomes-based assessment practices;

Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team;

A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring and welcoming learning environment;

A strong belief in parent involvement and communication, including regular communication with a home beyond the use of report cards;

Strong organizational and classroom management skills;

An in-depth knowledge of and experience with current outcomes-based assessment practices and the ability to develop multiple assessments such as portfolios and projects, in addition to more traditional assessments;

An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, emotional and/or curricular needs within the classroom setting;

Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same;

Salary Will Commensurate With Qualifications And Experience.
