About the Role:

Brightline brings virtual behavioral and mental health care to families, when and where you need it. We have an exciting opportunity to play a critical part in advancing the mission of a new partnership between Brightline and Children and Youth Behavioral Initiative (CYBHI), a California initiative called Brightlife Kids.

Established as part of the Budget Act of 2021, CYBHI is a $4.7B five-year package of investments that seeks to reimagine behavioral health care for California’s youth. The goal is to promote social and emotional well-being, prevent behavioral health challenges, and provide equitable, appropriate, timely, and accessible services for children and youth behavioral health needs–for free. Brightline was selected from a group of 450+ vendors to provide the Behavioral Health Virtual Services Platform (BHVS) for children under 13, as one of the workstreams for CYBHI.

We are seeking a Junior Designer with experience in building and managing brand consistency across formats and channels for our CYBHI partnership that will connect CA families to BrightLife Kids. As a Junior Designer at Brightline, you will be a part of building our brand presence in California and engaging kids, teens, and their families in support that helps them thrive. You will drive our brand design needs across Marketing, including campaigns, digital and print collateral, social media, and more. In this role, you will bring our brand personality to life to engage and delight audiences and help us to build brand awareness in California. This role will report to our Lead Brand Designer.

Why You Are Excited About Us:

  • Design Acumen: You possess a strong command of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with a focus on being especially proficient in at least one of these tools. Demonstrates a high level of skill and efficiency in using these software programs to create visually appealing designs. You will design and manage brand assets, bringing brand guidelines to life in all visual forms and ensuring consistency across channels and deliverables.
  • Collaborative Team Player: You are a great team player, low ego. Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, accept constructive feedback, and contribute positively to group projects. Able to communicate clearly and openly, listen to others, and offer support when needed are all important aspects of being a collaborative team member.
  • Organization and Time Management: You are a self-starter, and possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your time effectively. Capable of setting and meeting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and keeping track of multiple projects simultaneously without constant supervision.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: In addition to technical skills, you possess strong creative problem-solving abilities. Ability to think outside the box, generate innovative design solutions, and overcome challenges creatively. This includes being able to adapt design concepts to meet changing project requirements and find effective solutions to design problems as they arise.

Why We Are Excited About You:

  • 1-2 years of experience working in-house, agency, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in information architecture/hierarchical design foundation.
  • Proficient in Google Suite ecosystem.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
  • Proficiency in After Effects preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Self starter with strong self-organizational skill.
  • Experience and interest working collaboratively across departments.
  • Passion for advancing our mission to bring behavioral health services that are equitable and accessible for children and youth in California.

Compensation Philosophy:

  • At Brightline we have built a total rewards philosophy that includes fair, equitable, competitive, geo-based compensation that is performance and potential based. Our strategy is based on robust market research, including external advisory specializing in national compensation, and thoughtful input from every level of our organization. It is a combination of a cash salary, equity, benefits, wellbeing, and opportunity. In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for applicants is $54,000-$80,000.
