Marketing Communications Coordinator
The Role
For The Record seeks a motivated, creative, and talented professional to join our growing global Marketing & Communications team in a generalist capacity. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in writing, design, and video production, as well as a desire to develop skills in public relations and events. Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Drafting press releases, public relations pitches, and introductory letters
Supporting the creation of templated content through writing and design
Assisting with social media, digital marketing, and product marketing campaigns
Managing event logistics, such as booth set up, marketing collateral inventory, vendor research, printing, and shipping
Designing event signage, as well as drafting pre- and post-event communications
Capturing and editing short event videos for social media
Proofing and editing written collateral
Creating graphics for presentations
About you
Your writing skills are fire, demonstrating a balance of technical expertise, creativity, polish. In other words, you can spot passive language and insert Oxford commas while drafting clickable headlines and writing persuasive prose.
You are proactive and organized, always searching for an interesting opportunity to conduct outreach and/or enhance awareness of For The Record and industry issues.
You embody creativity, especially in terms of delivering memorable event experiences that align with our brand and generate leads.
You think on your feet and adapt to changing circumstances with out-of-the-box solutions.
You have experience creating content in different mediums, including video, infographics, presentations, and of course, the written word.
You have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
You are passionate about equality, justice, and making the world a better place, one small act at a time.
Other requirements:
Ability to undergo a successful background check.
Willing to travel (approximately 10% to 15%).
Willing to meet with global team outside normal business hours.
Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, journalism, and/or public relations.
Experience in MailChimp (or Constant Contact), WordPress, Canva, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma is desired, but not essential.
