Famous Cricket Leagues in the World
Cricket is the world’s most famous game after football. Especially in south Asia, England, Australia, West Indies, Bangladesh, and many other countries interested in such games. 2. IPL
IPL stands for Indian Premier League. It started in 2007. It is the most popular and expensive league in the world. In the beginning, there were 8 teams that took part in the competition. After that number of teams increased. Now the number of teams is 10 competing in this competition. The world has watched 14 editions of this format.
3. PSL
PSL stands for Pakistan Super League. The cricket world has watched 7 editions of PSL, and in these seasons 6 teams participated. Different sources accept that it is the world’s best-quality league. in which Lahore Qalandar, Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, and Multan Sultan.
4. T20 BL
T20 BL is the abbreviation of the T20 Blast League which is held in England. England is known as the home of cricket where played. It has 18 teams in this tournament or you can say league. It is beneficial for grooming young talent.
5. RS T20
Ram Slam T20 is played in South Africa. It is too old means started in 2003 in which 6 teams participated. It is more popular in the country and its developed many players in SA teams.
6. BPL
BPL is Bangladesh Premier League. This league is played in Bangladesh every year. Its 11 editions are played so far and it has 7 teams. Like Pakistan and India cricket is more popular in Bangladesh.
7. LPL
LPL is a Lanka Premier League that started in 2019 and is now in its third edition. Five teams compete in this tournament to lift the trophy. This league is hosted by Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
8. CPL
Different islands host Caribian Premier League. These islands combined to make the state called West Indies. This league started in 2013 it replaced the name Caribian Twenty20. It has 8 teams in every contest which fight for the title.
