DescriptionRobert Half is partnering with a prestigious, historic private club located in Willmington, DE who is seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards and smooth operations of our historic establishment.

What You Will Do

  • Answer phones in a helpful and pleasant manner
  • Taking accurate reservations for the dining rooms and social events
  • Handle all correspondence and keep records for the Board of Directors
  • Handle all correspondence and keep records for various committees
  • Prepare and mail information to the Board each month
  • Maintain all membership records and work closely with the Membership Chair and Controller to ensure accuracy and follow through regarding the membership process
  • Gather information and produce monthly Bulletin for members
  • Actively assist chairs of the Social, Communications, and Membership committees in generating and distributing information to members
  • Various duties as assigned
This position requires a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the General Manager, Board of Directors, various committees and the membership at large. The ideal candidate must be able to work fairly independently with a high degree of accuracy, possess an outstanding personality who is willing to go above and beyond to service our members, is detail orientated, and proficient is Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills, with experience in both inbound and outbound calls
  • Capable of efficiently managing email correspondence and data entry tasks
  • Ability to schedule appointments and manage calendars effectively
  • Experience in answering inbound calls promptly and professionally
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative
  • High level of discretion and judgment in handling confidential information.
