The Venture & Growth Banking team is one of the newest teams to be formed at Lazard. The team focuses on raising capital for some of the most exciting companies across Europe and the United States at the forefront of technological innovation in their respective industries. The team has raised over $4bn in primary proceeds for our clients since arriving at Lazard across a multitude of stages and sectors. Lazard is seeking to recruit an Analyst to join the Venture & Growth Banking Team in either Los Angeles, California, or in Austin, Texas.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Build and run comprehensive financial models and conduct a wide range of financial analyses
  • Effectively analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information
  • Perform company and industry research
  • Assist in the preparation of client presentations and marketing materials
  • Interact with senior bankers and clients
You’ll need to have:
  • At least one year of investment banking or equivalent relevant experience, including start-ups and venture capital environments
  • Strong analytical skills with extensive training in the building of presentation materials and financial modelling and accountancy – e.g. 3 statement models, valuation methodologies, etc.
  • A passion for technology and high growth start-ups with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
  • Proven academic excellence and high degree of intellectual curiosity
  • High level of responsiveness with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a high-quality work product
  • A team player mindset; ability to work as part of a close-knit team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate both to deal teams and external clients
  • Strong ability to multi-task

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $120,000 - $125,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
