About the role:

Scouts SA Camps & Adventure Parks, comprising multi-award winning Woodhouse Adventure Park, Roonka River Adventure Park and Camp Nyroca, are leaders in group accommodation, school camps and outdoor learning, as well as youth and family activity.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for devising, developing, and implementing marketing projects and business development strategies across our diverse range of offerings. Your efforts will be crucial in ensuring our economic growth, strategic advancement, and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development and marketing strategies to drive growth and increase market presence.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams to expand our reach and impact.
  • Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Lead and manage marketing projects, including digital campaigns, events, media visits and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of business initiatives.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Skills and Experiences:

Experience & Qualifications:

Essential

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, communications or a related discipline e.g. tourism or outdoor education (or equivalent lived experience).
  • Current SA driver’s license.
  • Current First Aid Qualification HLYAID003 Provide First Aid, or a willingness to do so.
  • Successful applicant will be subject to a satisfactory police and working with children check in accordance with the Scouts SA Child Protection Policy.
Desirable
  • First Aid
  • RAN Certificate (Responding to Abuse and Neglect)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, or a related discipline e.g. tourism or outdoor education
  • Experience in the tourism or outdoor education, SA Schools or residential camps sector
