Clerical Position – Records Department
The Opportunity
In this role, you will perform a variety of clerical related duties, to assist us in obtaining medical and business records for our clients (law firms and insurance companies) to use either in pending or ongoing litigation.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be a team player who can work in a fast-paced environment, will be meticulous about paying attention to details, can function independently, is punctual to work, and who has good work attendance.
Requirements For This Position
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
- The ability to type at least 30 wpm
- Good at taking and referring to notes
- General clerical work experience in an office setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) is preferred but not required
- Making and receiving calls from businesses (i.e., medical offices, banks, insurance companies, etc.), transferring calls within the office
- Matching incoming faxes and mail to the corresponding paperwork
- Scanning documents
- Composing emails
- General data entry and updating files
- Uploading files to and downloading files from websites
