Commercial Manager

JOB TITLE: Commercial Manager LOCATION: Pier Walk, LondonSHIFT PATTERN: Working between Central London office and remotely on a hybrid basis.SALARY: Competitive As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the effective commercial delivery across several Transport for London (TFL) contracts encompassing soft and hard services (£100m+). This is a new opportunity that has arisen due to the growth and success of a flagship cleaning contract and two recent contract mobilisations for Hard FM services. Reporting directly into the Commercial Director, the roles objectives are outlined below.

As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Commercial management - be the contract commercial expert for operational teams across pre and post stages of the contract lifecycle
• Relationship management - build strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups ensuring ABM's interests and commercial position are protected
• Contract negotiations - the ability to negotiate and manage disputes across both client and supplier partners to avoid litigation
• Write up, cost and negotiate variation orders
• Risk management - identify and manage risk across the contract to ensure all risk is understood and mitigated where possible
• Manage and track contract risk register through the Early Warning Notice (EWN) process
• Team management - Manage the Additional Works and Projects team to ensure all projects, variations and changes in scope are understood and delivered
• Manage subcontractor and supplier partnerships (potentially supporting procurement)

Person Specification

• Facilities Management and/or transport contract experience - highly desirable
• Expert negotiating skills - able to manage conflict and contentious issues easily and confidently
• Capacity to be influential and amenable - win over clients, colleagues and senior stakeholders
• The capacity to prioritise and retain focus on detail, under high workload conditions
• Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities
• Attention to detail and record keeping
• Superb with deadlines - meet commitments and maintain project deadlines
• Commercial qualification (CIPS/WCC/Contract Law) - highly desirable
