Job Title: Counselor (PRN)Reports To: Director of Clinical ServicesNorthpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC, established in 2009, is a growing, behavioral healthcare treatment platform treating adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions under the Northpoint Recovery brand and adolescents with mental healthcare conditions under the Imagine by Northpoint brand. The Company serves patients with commercial health insurance and is an in-network model. Northpoint has grown from two facilities to 14 today entirely on a de novo basis with plans to expand rapidly in both existing and new markets. Northpoint has an opening for a Counselor at our Omaha, NE inpatient facility.
POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Counselor is responsible for providing counseling and case management services to patients at Northpoint Nebraska.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Case staffing
- Individual case supervision
- Professional and timely documentation
- Consultation with other clinical professionals
- Review of case record maintenance
- Treatment planning
- Facilitate individual and group therapy
- Discharge planning
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Must be certified in Nebraska to meet the standards and requirements under the Nebraska Department of Regulatory Services – Divisions of Professions and Occupations at the time of hire and throughout the duration of employment or contract
- Minimum 1 year experience in relevant field preferred

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Master’s Degree in Social work or Counseling with licensure or pursuing licensure for LIMHP, LMHP, or LPC, LCSW, LMFT
- Preferred candidates have an LADC certification
- Must maintain current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Must have reasonable ability to stand, walk, sit, handle, feel, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, hear, taste and smell
- Must be able to lift up to 20lbs
- Environment is a forty-four (44) bed residential treatment atmosphere with access to an outside patio. Work environment may include exposure to outside weather conditions
- Exposure to disturbed and potentially aggressive patients is possible. Stress ranges from low to intense depending on the situation
- Completion of a tuberculin screening during first week of employment
- Completion of a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident and random for upon reasonable suspicion of use
- Completion of orientation and required paperwork prior to reporting to work
- Demonstrated computer literacy
- Completion of CPR/First Aid Training before hire
- Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training
- Completion of Health and Welfare background check
- $29.00 to $41.00 per hour
- Premium starting pay for PRN status
