Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Data Analyst (Multiple Openings) in Minneapolis, MN.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Data Analyst (Multiple Openings) position will support bank-wide analytics using the Financial Data Warehouse. The Data Analyst (Multiple Openings) will assist with analyzing customer and account level performance with initial projects including rules based forecasting of personnel expense and loan loss provision performance and the position will include querying in Oracle, SQL and Essbase and may also involve dashboard development in Power BI. Responsibilities include: Work on big data/analytics projects that gather a d integrate large volumes of data, performs analysis, interprets results and develops actionable insights and recommendations for use across the company. Develop PL/SQL procedures for performing ETL operations to gather data from multiple data sources into Financial Data Warehouse. Acquire data from multiple data sources in order to perform analysis. Perform queries in Oracle, SQL Server and Essbase to perform analysis by designing complex SQL queries. Develop and maintain dashboards in Power BI. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data in order to provide answers to business questions as well as provide recommendations for action. Create Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Execution for ETL processes and to validate warehouse data accuracy. Interpret data and analyze results using various statistical techniques and tools. Present data and analysis and provide recommendations to help make data driven decisions. Collaborate with various partners to provide a holistic view of the analysis. Measure and monitor results of applied recommendations and present adjustments. Ensure all data acquisition, sharing and results of applied recommendations are compliant with company standards. Basic Qualifications:

The qualified candidate must have at least a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Information Systems. The qualified candidate must have at least 2 year (24 months) of experience as data analyst, systems analyst or closely related occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:

The qualified candidate must have at least a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Information Systems. The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience as data analyst, systems analyst or closely related occupation. The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience in each of the following:

  • Predictive modeling;
  • Extracting, collecting, organizing, analyzing and interpreting trends and patterns in complex data sets;
  • Developing, building, and maintaining dashboards using Power BI;
  • Develop PL/SQL procedures;
  • Querying in Oracle and SQL Server and Essbase by designing complex SQL queries to perform analyses; and
  • Working with: Oracle Database, SQL Server, Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, VBA, Pivot Tables, Macros), Python, SQL, and SQL Developer.
Telecommuting available anywhere in US. HQ at 800 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402. Pay Range: $96,283.00 - $116,400.00
