Position Overview:

The Director - People & Culture is responsible for developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent acquisition, talent management, organizational development, employee engagement, and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the organization's human resources strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance and input to executive leadership in the development of organizational policies and programs.
  • Drive initiatives that foster a high-performance culture, emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
  • Develop effective strategies for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent.
  • Implement programs to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Lead efforts to enhance the employer brand and reputation as an employer of choice.

Organizational Development:

  • Design and implement organizational development initiatives to enhance employee effectiveness and productivity.
  • Identify areas for improvement in organizational structure, job design, and workflow.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Conduct regular assessments of employee morale and develop action plans to address areas of concern.

Performance Management:

  • Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Implement systems to track and measure employee performance and development.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on performance management best practices.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate HR-related risks.
  • Oversee HR-related audits and investigations as necessary.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage the HR department budget.
  • Allocate resources effectively to support HR initiatives and programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in human resources management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
