Driver

Hours: 20 hours per week We are looking to recruit a Driver for various hours within our Integrated Transport Unit conveying vulnerable adults and children passengers to and from care facilities, schools, academies, and other education sites.

Our Drivers work alone or in partnership with Passenger Assistants providing a specialist transport service and are the link between parents/carers and service provider staff. We are seeking applicants that will embed the values of Middlesbrough Council and will be passionate about our service to those whom our service supports.

Our Drivers must ensure that passenger safety and wellbeing is their priority, and that transport is a comfortable and happy environment.

This post may include the support and assistance to a child or an adult who has SEND and or other medical needs.

Mandatory training is given to all Drivers such as customer excellence, wheelchair security, first aid etc. Specific training is available to Driver’s dependent upon the needs of the individuals they are responsible for.

Other Requirements

DVSA with Category D or D1 Max 3 points.

CPC holder or willing to work towards achieving qualification.

Good customer service skills.

“Can Do”, polite, and friendly attitude.

Flexibility.
