Hillwood Farm Services is a family-owned berry farming enterprise that employs 55+ fulltime staff and has a seasonal labour force of 500+ workers.

Our seasonal workers are employed from Australia, East Timor, Samoa, Tonga and Papua New Guinea. We are very proud of our involvement in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility scheme and our relationship with the seasonal workers.

Hillwood Farm Services have employment opportunities at our seasonal workers accommodation for Housekeepers/Cleaners. The role includes cleaning at our farm - bathrooms and office blocks and our accommodation facilities.

Our Housekeepers/Cleaners Will Be Responsible For

  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces at the farm and the accommodation facilities
  • Clean and maintain designated areas to ensure they are presentable and hygienic.
  • Handle cleaning equipment and supplies responsibly and safely.
  • Follow cleaning procedures and standards to maintain high levels of cleanliness.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding cleaning tasks and requirements.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations while performing cleaning duties.
It is essential that you can work closely and respectfully with our seasonal workers, it would be desirable if you could speak one of the languages.

Applicants will be required to work in a team environment, to take direction, comply with work health and safety and demonstrate an attention to detail. Applicants will need to demonstrate good communication skills, particularly with a multilingual group of workers, and a strong work ethic.

The work will be performed at our farm and accommodations, which are located at 139 Hillwood Road, Hillwood, 17 Alanvale Road, Newnham and 38 Bagot Street, Beauty Point. There may be a requirement to work at both sites.

This is a seasonal role starting in June 2024 until December 2024. Depending on the harvest this role could extend for an additional 3 months.

Award: Horticulture Award 2020, Level 1, $22.61 per hour, with the possibility of additional allowances for leading hand or first aid. Upskilling and promotions are also available for the right candidate based on tasks allocated.

The positions are available on a full-time basis starting from June 2024.
