Lecturer in GCSE English

We are seeking a Lecturer in GCSE English to contribute to the College and divisional teams including sharing best practice and to teach effectively on a range of programmes across the College Curriculum.The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline and will have the knowledge of current GCSE English specifications.A recognised teaching qualification is not essential for this role, Lecturers can be supported through a mentoring system and staff development programmes to develop their classroom practice and the College has an excellent Staff Development programme where a recognised teaching qualification can be gained.The salary for this post is £31,967 – £38,147.Burnley College Sixth Form Centre is the country’s Number One College, providing first-class Further Education, University Education, Apprenticeship, business training and adult learning programmes, in the heart of Pennine Lancashire.
