This position works in our Viscose Manufacturing, Casting or Coating Department. Standard schedule includes rotating 12-hour shifts working 3 or 4 days per week. Shifts rotate between nights and days every 28 days.

We make NatureFlex and Cellophane packaging films. These are biodegradable and compostable products to help reduce plastic pollution around the world! Since they are made from renewable wood pulp as a raw material, we essentially make transparent paper. Check out the process here.

Compostable packaging is a rapidly expanding market. As a result, Futamura is in the process of a major expansion and we have increased our production by over 50% in 2020 and we are still growing. We are looking for good people with a drive for advancement to come join our team.

Our production positions work in one or more areas of the manufacturing process to ensure that we meet the expectations of our customers in the areas of production, timeliness and quality of the film we produce.

Duties include

  • Monitor and maintain control of production equipment in assigned areas
  • Perform quality checks in the manufacturing process and report issues
  • Enter data onto computers and log sheets
  • Operate hoists in selected areas
  • Prepare quality samples consistently in a timely manner
  • Perform job duties such as tracking, recording, measuring and adjusting machine performance
  • Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures in assigned department
  • Other duties as assigned
Applicants should possess the following qualifications
  • Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Strong focus on safety
  • The ability to think independently, while working within company structures and guidelines
  • History of teamwork and cooperation
  • Skilled in positions requiring attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally based on assigned area
