At Miniso, we're excited to announce openings for two pivotal roles within our procurement team: Position 1: Merchandise Data Analyst, Position 2: Merchandise Planner, and Postion 3: Inventory Coordinator. While 3 positions play critical roles in our purchasing operations, they offer distinct responsibilities and growth opportunities. Here's what you need to know about each role:

Position 1: Merchandise Data Analyst

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Data Visualization and Analysis: Use Python and Power BI to develop robust data visualization platforms tailored for merchandise analysis. Streamline and enhance data systems and predictive indicators.
  • Report Generation: Regularly produce merchandise reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, ensure a well-rounded perspective by merging insights on sales patterns, procurement initiatives, inventory trends, Gross Profit Trend, and consumer behavior.
  • Inventory Oversight: Execute stringent protocols to detect and rectify inventory anomalies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Maintain robust communication lines with departments like HQ, warehouse, operations, logistics, finance, and marketing.
  • System Expertise: Develop in-depth expertise in primary enterprise systems, such as OA, SAP, and POS.
  • Store Visits: Conduct regular store visits for on-ground assessments, ensuring alignment between data analysis insights and store operations.
  • Performance Metrics Adherence: Drive continuous improvement by focusing on pivotal Merchandise KPIs, emphasizing metrics like turnover, SKU diversity, and PM results.
  • Research & Development: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Evaluate potential tools and strategies to maintain the company's competitive edge.
  • Project Management: Oversee diverse analytical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to the highest quality standards.
  • Other Duties: Engage in any other pertinent tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, preferably within a retail or e-commerce context.
  • Mastery over data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Python, and Excel. Proficiency in the MS Office Suite is mandatory.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking complemented by a results-driven approach.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for synthesizing complex data into digestible insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
  • Innate adaptability and resilience, especially when navigating high-pressure, dynamic scenarios.
  • A rigorous attention to detail, paired with strategic foresight.

Position 2: Merchandise Planner

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Product Planning: Work closely with buyers to develop product plans based on category performance targets and sales forecasting.
  • Report Generation: Regularly produce merchandise reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring a well-rounded perspective by merging insights on sales patterns, procurement initiatives, inventory trends, Gross Profit Trends, and consumer behaviour.
  • Inventory Oversight: Execute stringent protocols to detect and rectify inventory anomalies. Tracking of product lifecycle to optimize inventory.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Maintain robust communication lines with departments like HQ, warehouse, operations, logistics, finance, and marketing.
  • System Expertise: Develop in-depth expertise in primary enterprise systems, such as OA, SAP, and POS.
  • Store Visits: Conduct regular store visits for on-ground assessments, ensuring alignment between product plans and store operations.
  • Performance Metrics Adherence: Drive continuous improvement by focusing on pivotal Merchandise KPIs, emphasizing metrics like turnover, SKU diversity, and PM results.
  • Other Duties: Engage in any other pertinent tasks and projects as needed.

Position 3: Inventory Coordinator

About the Position

Under the supervision of the Inventory Coordinator, the Inventory Coordinator is responsible for data analysis regarding inventory risks and opportunities and prepare the report and plan in a timely, efficient manner and will, and implementing inventory allocation tasks.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate, analyze and report on the company's inventory control processes.
  • Work with warehouse, operations, logistics, marketing, wholesale, e-commerce and other related departments to ensure timely inventory replenishment and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy for all transfers between departments and inventory locations.
  • Maintain various inventory projection models, and systems.
  • Perform historical sales analysis & forecast future sales.
  • Generate accurate inventory field reports.System order operation, develop store specific distribution plans with a consideration of location, demographics based on sales trends and seasonality.
  • Manage multiple projects and implement solutions to optimize operations and allocation strategies.Travel to stores to analyze the effectiveness and accuracy of the inventory. Assist and participate with stores’ physical inventory process as needed.
  • Other related duties or projects upon request.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required. Preferably major in supply chain management, inventory management, data analytics, or Financial Mathematics1-2 years’ working experience in inventory management is preferred
  • Must be well-organized and detail-oriented to manipulate large volume of data and passionate about putting out your absolute best workHighly proficient with MS Excel for analytics and reporting. Experience in data visualization tool and SAP will be a BIG PLUS and valuable asset
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control methodsDemonstrated good problem-solving, and multi-task skillsAbility to work cross functionally with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The inter-business communication process will also involve Headquarter.
  • Willingness to travel to retail stores to check on inventory allocation process.
