Part-Time Proofreader / Editor (Remote – Georgia)
This is a part-time position (24-30 hours per week). We’ll discuss scheduling on a case-by-case basis with candidates.

What You’ll Do
- Edit at a high level, demonstrating expertise in proofreading for typos, grammar and consistency, as well as editing / rewriting to ensure proper context, accuracy, format and quality
- Fact-check dates, addresses, numbers, etc., for accuracy
- Ensure proper tone
- Excel at time management, prioritization and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Be a subject matter expert on style, branding and grammar, including the Morley Style Guide, AP style and client-specific styles
- Proofread in a variety of online formats, including websites, apps and email programs
- Be highly proficient at Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word (using styles, formatting, working with tables, etc.)
- Be a strong communicator who truly enjoys helping everyone improve
Skills For Success
- Obsessive attention to detail
- Fact-checking and research expertise
- Familiarity with AP style guide
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to five or more years’ prior professional experience with proofreading and editing
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and design-related programs
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams
- Bachelor’s degree
- Georgia resident
- High-speed internet access at home
- Secluded and distraction-free work environment
