About Role
Queensland and interstate Higher Education partners, to ensure that people studying to be teachers, also known as preservice teachers are inspired by and well informed about the professional and personal opportunities available to beginning teachers in Queensland state schools and the supported pathways to become a teacher.
Our Project Officer (Engagement) is our key liaison person between the Teach Queensland team and Higher Education Institutions (HEI), and plays a critical role in coordinating our participation in on campus and virtual information sessions for people currently studying teaching and those starting the transition from preservice to beginning teacher. This includes liaising with departmental and HEI representatives, collaborating with our colleagues across the Engagement and Talent Acquisition portfolio to ensure we take advantage of opportunities to engage with target audiences and can provide relevant information about employment opportunities, benefits, support and application processes. Coordinating travel and resources to enable our participation in these engagement opportunities across Queensland and interstate is also a key responsibility of this role.
