PRU Teaching assistant
As a PRU Teaching assistant you will have a profound understanding of working with children exhibiting social,Mental and emotional challenging behaviours.
As a PRU Teaching Assistant you will need to demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills, Active listening skills and the ability to remain calm in stress full situations.

- Title: PRU Teaching Assistant
- Pay: £83.50 per day minimum
- Location: Aberdare
- Hours: Ad Hoc, Short Term and Long Term - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm
- Weekly pay, and no payroll charges

- Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day
- Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson
- Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs
- Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
- Assist learners at break time with their lunch
- Engage learners with both classroom and out-of-classroom activities
- Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies
- At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings - experience within an PRU setting would be beneficial
- Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
