POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor the position performs a variety of sewing quality control and conformance functions. These duties include but are not limited to reading specs and examining filter bags to ensure they meet Albarrie quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspects filter bags upon completion to ensure they meet Albarrie’s quality standards as per the engineer drawing
- Folding and stacking filter bags on table
- Identifying and utilizing the appropriate cell plates tbased on the engineer drawing
- Repackaging repaired filter bags from customers as per specifications
- Occasionally tapes boxes before they are filled, as needed
- Completes order information by labeling boxes for shipping materials
- Fill out quality control sheets for all specs
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards
- Maintains client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure
- Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment
- Sewing experience is an asset
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent if studied in a different province or country)
- Basic knowledge of Fabrics
- Some knowledge of sewing techniques
- Some knowledge of reading specification sheets and engineer drawing
- Experience using a computer including an ERP system to scan in and out of work orders.
