As a School Receptionist, you will be the face of our school, providing a warm welcome and professional assistance to all visitors and callers. You will play a key role in managing the reception area, handling inquiries, and providing administrative support to staff, pupils, and parents.

Job Responsibilities
  • Greet visitors, parents, and pupils with a friendly and welcoming demeanour, both in person and over the phone.
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members or departments.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as sorting mail, filing documents, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and events, including scheduling rooms and sending out reminders.
  • Provide information and assistance to parents and visitors regarding school policies, procedures, and services.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, including pupil attendance and visitor logs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth flow of communication and operations within the school.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous manner.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Personal Attributes
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
