Job Posting Reference Number #Grove 2024-60We are seeking dynamic, passionate Resident Care Aides (RCA’s) who will provide assistance to the nursing team, including transporting residents, answering call bells, delivering messages, maintaining cleanliness and organization in resident’s rooms, maintaining supplies, assisting with resident nutrition, including feeding residents, and providing one on one support to residents.
An easy commute, our rural community hospital and long-term care home is located 30 minutes northwest of Ottawa.

Schedule: Days/ Evenings/ Weekends [7.5 hr. shifts]
Hourly Rate: $20.70 - $23.00 per hour (Oct 9, 2023, wage)

Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 Education
- Completed Vulnerable sector screening.
- Previous experience working in a Long-Term Care setting preferred.
- Assist with serving meals and fluids at mealtimes.
- Portering residents to and from the dining rooms for meals and/or designated areas for programs.
- Provide assistance to PSW for low risk transfers and lifts.
- Provide assistance with resident grooming.
- Assist low risk residents with feeding.
- Making beds, removing/replenishing linen.
- Assist with sanitizing surfaces.
- Ensure that the residents’ environment is clean and safe.
- Ensure confidentiality of resident and staff information.
- Fully knowledgeable of all responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
