Senior Supply Chain Replenishment Planner

We’re looking for a Senior Supply Chain Replenishment Planner to join our growing company and play a key role in our customer experience by ensuring each purchase ends in a smile!
The Senior Supply Chain Replenishment Planner is responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Assistant Manager with day-to-day management of the department and in providing leadership to the Supply Chain team. They ensure that all Supply Chain responsibilities across all channels (bricks and mortar stores/ market places/e-commerce) are completed in a timely and efficient manner and that Associates are provided with support as needed to meet deadlines. In addition, the Senior Supply Chain Replenishment Planner is the primary contact with vendors and other departments on day-to-day issues and is responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with these groups and for preparing various presentations and reports with a focus on vendor-relations.
Job Description
Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Assist the team in implementing new policies and procedures to improve the performance of the department.
- Analyze regional trend reports on a daily and weekly basis to replenish for future demand of various products and maintain regional replenishment stocking programs.
- Act as the primary daily contact between Sleep Country’s vendors and the Supply Chain team by taking the lead on issues that are significant in nature or affect multiple DCs / Regions and troubleshooting with vendors to resolve systemic issues that affect operations as they are escalated by the Supply Chain team or vendors.
- Managing shipment flow on a daily basis from suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods and following up with vendors to resolve issues as quickly as possible and mitigate customer back orders and impacts.
- Ensure the Supply Chain department is continually working on initiatives outlined by the Supply Chain Leadership team that provide value to the Customer by eliminating unnecessary steps and waste.
- Provide feedback and coaching to individual team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of supply chain duties and to improve the department’s performance.
- Completion of a college diploma or equivalent in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Operations (or equivalent).
- 3-5 years relevant work experience in an analytical/supply chain role (retail/wholesale experience considered an asset).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines in a calm and professional manner.
- Exceptional problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven experience dealing with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience in supply chain forecasting and replenishment with either Oracle, Logility, SAP and JDA Manugistics considered an asset.
