About The Role
We are currently accepting applications for the position of Storeperson in our modern NATA-accredited laboratory at Chatswood for an immediate start. As a Storeperson you will be responsible for the warehouse, associated stock and supply functions ensuring client and business requirements are met. This includes the supply of bottles and containers to clients as required and sample disposal after laboratory analysis.
Your areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
- Maintain warehouse inventory, including receiving/dispatching goods
- Good organisational skills and a proactive approach
- Stock management
- Preparing bottle orders
- Waste disposal- including soil jars, water bottles, metals waste(acids), solvent waste(organics)
- Workplace Health, Safety and Environment
- Safety and housekeeping
- Information Security
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail for accurately maintaining stocks
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills for coordination with suppliers
- Basic computer skills for managing inventory records management
- Prior experience in a similar warehouse or storekeeping role is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures
