You will be responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of various NBN technologies

- Complete installation and maintenance on FTTN/FTTP/FTTC networks
- Preparation and splicing of optic fibre cables internal and external enclosures and frames.
- Fault location finding, resolution and restoration
- Reading and understanding network plans and drawings.
- Installation of equipment on premises, cabling and activation of NTD
- Cross connecting frame and FTTN nodes
- Customer service skills, working with the end user
- Testing and Commissioning of links as per customer requirements.
- Knowledge of Cable Hauling Practices and Procedures.
- Knowledge of the Telstra and NBNco external and internal Plant environment is desirable
- Knowledge of multiple Carrier Optical Fibre Networks desirable
- Minimum 4 years+ experience working with cabling or electrical trades or equivalent
- Experience in the telecommunications industry working in live carrier networks
- Open cablers license
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
- High Risk (HR) license
- Current drivers license
- First Aid (CPR)
- Confined Space ticket
- NBN enabled
- Must have excellent communication skills
We hold all of the necessary certifications and a vast amount of knowledge of delivery and maintenance of fibre into the Territory
We are looking to expand our team of Alice Springs technicians, to further support the upgrade and delivery of NBN into NT
