Job DescriptionVirtual and Interior DesignerBingham Construction, Southern California’s premier commercial real estate services firm, is seeking a Virtual and Interior Designer to help us grow our Virtual Interior and Design (VID) Division. In conjunction with our preconstruction services, this candidate will help us develop real-time design and cost information at the earliest point in a project, allowing our clients to make effective decisions prior to mobilizing design and construction teams.

The ideal candidate for the Virtual and Interior Designer has a minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in the following project types: Class A office, medical office, industrial, retail and senior living, custom residential. Candidate must be able to develop space plans and renderings to graphically and accurately depict the proposed project. Additional consideration will be given to those candidates who can develop space plans into fully permitted construction plans and/or who have the experience in managing architectural firms to deliver these plans. This position is geared toward someone who is extremely ambitious, motivated, talented and creative.

A four-year degree in architecture, interior design, or related field is required. Certification in an industry association is desirable. Candidate must be fluent with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop, AutoCAD, and 3-D rendering software such as Sketchup or VRay. Experience with 3-D photo stitching and/or animation software such as 3ds Max or 3D Vista is desirable.

Duties and tasks of this position include:

  • Develop space plans and other architectural drawings in CAD based upon Client requirements.
  • Develop 2-D or 3-D renderings based upon elementary plans or photographs.
  • Create 3-D visual tours (from renderings or 3-D photos).
  • Assist marketing team in creating digital flyers, banners, social media posts, and other marketing materials showing architectural or design features of a project.
  • Assist marketing team in creating graphics for the development of request for proposal responses.
  • Assist operations team in developing project plans, specifications, graphics, exhibits, submittal and RFI support documents, or other documentation to aid in construction of a project.
  • Manage additional design consultants or architect firms on design-build projects.

Bingham Construction provides an excellent compensation package including:

  • Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000.
  • Paid vacation and sick leave accruing from employee’s start date.

  • 401k after first 90 days. Employer match on 401k contributions after 1st year of employment.
  • Company provided laptop or desktop computer with software licenses required for this position.
  • This position is stationed at our office in Rancho Bernardo. Some remote work may be allowed depending upon schedule of out-of-office events.
